Stretch Goals Announced!

We have announced some stretch goals for this campaign! I think we have some very exciting options coming your way, from stickers to new variant covers, from scripts to handbooks to our heroes. 

If you've already backed the project, how can you help us attain these stretch goals? There are a number of ways. You could increase your pledge level. You can select some additional add-ons (I mean, they make great gifts)! You can tell your friends and family about the campaign. Anything, really, to help us move the needle.

The goals we have in mind include:

$22,500 - Bookmark 1 - Danny Luckert has designed some sweet BEYOND MORTAL bookmarks. We add the first to orders for all physical backers.

$24,000 - Sticker 1 - We will add a BEYOND MORTAL sticker to orders for all physical backers.

$26,000 - Script PDF - For process junkies! A PDF of the script for BEYOND MORTAL #1 will be added to all pledge levels.

$27,500 - Bookmark 2 - A second BEYOND MORTAL bookmark will be added to all physical orders!

$29,000 - Sticker 2 - A second sticker will be added to all physical orders.

$35,000 - New Variant Cover! Danny Luckert will design a new variant cover for the book. This will be offered at a deep discount for all physical backers and will only be printed to fulfill orders for this Kickstarter.

$40,000 - Cover Stock Enhancement. We are currently talking to our printer about enhancing the main cover of the book.

$45,000 - SECRETS OF THE BEYOND MORTAL UNIVERSE PDF! This will be a handbook to the heroes and villains that appear in this issue, akin to the old WHO'S WHO? or OFFICIAL HANDBOOK TO THE MARVEL UNIVERSE. Provided digitally to all backers.

$50,000 - SECRETS OF THE LEVIATHAN PDF! This will be a guide to the Leviathan, presented as an arcane tome of horrors. Provided digitally to all backers.

BEYOND - As we attain higher goals, we will add new stretch goals! Who knows where we'll go?

A Couple of Projects You Might Want to Check Out!

I've always thought it was important to keep an eye on other cool comic book projects that are running on  Kickstarter, so every now and then I'll be mentioning them here. 

First up, we have The Dusk by Alex Segura, Elizabeth Little and David Hahn.  It is a modern reimagining of the superhero vigilante that flips the script on the traditional “might makes right” approach while adding the grounded, socially conscious perspective that modern crime fiction has become known for. Next, we have We Are Scarlet Twilight #1 is the first issue of a 4 part comic series inspired by 1930's and 40's pulp adventure comics and art deco imagery.  It really has a great look to it, and I hear it may have some elements that will really appeal to fans of superheroes and horror. And finally... for today... we have Lampblack which just has a cool look, a cool concept, and a cool format. is a 24-page comic, the first in a limited series written by Camille Longley, with art by Pablo Peppino, colors by Damián Peñalba, and letters by Joel Saavedra. It's an oversized 8.5x11 inch landscape comic in a sweeping cinematic style.
